A date with OC: A Valentine’s dinner surprise
Last minute Valentine’s day plans aren’t always the most memorable, but ¼ϲʹٷվ College’s restaurant, Infusions, has a solution for you this Saturday that offers an unforgettable dining twist – everything is a surprise.
What do we know about this surprise evening?
Infusions Restaurant is opening its doors this Saturday, Feb. 13, to offer diners a Valentine’s culinary adventure to remember, where they won’t know what dish is coming out next.
Diners will sit down for a five-course dinner menu created by OC Pastry Arts chef Danny Capadouca and renowned guest chef, Rob Walker.
“We want the dining experience to be enjoyed by our guests,” says Capadouca. “It should be unique and unforgettable, not just another meal that can be had anywhere else.”
OC Culinary and Pastry Arts students will be executing the menu, which features chocolate – created by the two chefs – in every course. Each course is also complemented with wine pairings from Kitsch Wines. Gluten-free and vegetarian menu options are available if requested in advance.
“Food should be fun and inviting,” says Walker. “It should showcase ingredients in a creative and memorable way.”
The dinner is part of the College’s Student Chef Dinner Series which began in December. Each series welcomes a different guest chef, different menu and a different wine or beer partner. The next series event is set for March 18 and features a seafood influence with guest chef Ross Derrick from Broken Anchor.
The evening seating is available by reservation only via a ticket purchase. Staggered seating begins at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner commencing at 6 p.m. Tickets are $120 and only a limited amount of seating remains. To purchase your tickets, email infusions@okanagan.bc.ca.
